形态描述
体平扁，亚圆盘状，尾极细长，鞭状，其前部有扁平尾刺。眼小。具喷水孔。胸鳍甚宽。鳃孔5对，与口、鼻同位于腹面。成体背正中至尾刺具1纵行结刺。体赤褐色。

The stingrays are inshore marine fishes. This species, the red stingray, is also found in the West River.
